I hope people will find this information useful. I've collected a few links on Trans basics and Suicide Prevention. With such a high rate of suicide and self-harm among trans people, I hope perhaps this information will be put to good use. <3

National Domestic Violence Hotline - 800-799-7233 24 hours.

Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Teen Hotline - 800-347-8336 (1-800-347-TEEN) Weekend Nights Only.

Sexual Assault Crisis Service - 888-999-5545 (24 hour hotline)

National Runaway Switchboard - 800-621-4000 24 hours.

TEEN LINE (Teens helping teens) - 800-852-8336 (toll free), or 310-855-4673 Open every evening from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pacific Time, and they will take collect calls, so you can call long-distance and not have to pay.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender National Hotline - 888-843-4564 - (Monday to Friday, 4 p.m. to midnight Eastern; Saturday, noon – 5 p.m. Eastern).



Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition - Two brochures are now available addressing the issue of transgender suicide. These may be downloaded as PDF on the site, or copies may be obtained from Alison.Brill@state.ma.us Brochures are available in English, Spanish and soon to be in Portuguese as well.

And as always, if you feel like you can't trust yourself to not self-harm or you feel unsafe, please go to your closest emergency room or dial 911!
